Sustainable Futures – A journey through the SDGs

Results

Game-based learning (GBL) creates immense opportunities in the context of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD). It can contribute to improving students’ knowledge, attitudes, and behaviours toward Sustainable Development (SD) and enhance their understanding of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Dr Andriani Piki, Lecturer in Computing at UCLan Cyprus presented the VR game developed as part of the TIME2ACT@SD Erasmus+ project with the students and staff of MSc Smart Educational Technology programme, during her visit at Université Côte d’Azur, Nice, France. The game ‘Sustainable Futures – A journey through the SDGs’ is one of the intellectual outputs of the project, led by the UCLan Cyprus team and aims to contribute to current efforts toward promoting the 17 SDGs and fill the gaps that exist in collectively promoting all 3 dimensions of sustainable development: social, environmental, and economic.
